Knit Shrug
Can someone please help me with this pattern?
Using CC and the smaller circular
needle, pu 1 st for every row around
the opening in the shrug, ending with
an even number. Place a marker and
join in a circle. Work in 1×1 rib for
1”. Bind off VERY loosely in rib st.
This is for the finishing of a shrug. The instructions for the actual shrug is pretty easy, but because I am not experienced with knitting I dont understand the finishing touches of this shrug. Could anyone please tell me this in a more easier way, Thanks
I will try to help you with this…So around the opening of your shrug you purl. You can use straight needles. (pu 1 st for every row: meaning you purl one stitch for every row.) ( Not seeing this shrug I would assume that You Are viewing the end of each row around the opening if so these end verticle stiches should be purled in a horizontal row.) Ending in an even number: meaning purl like 4 or 6 rows. Then place a marker. Using your circular needles do a rib stitch 1 inch by 1 inch (rib stitch is usually knit 4, purl four, repeat and join the end together when you get all the way around) for about another 4 rows or 1″. Bind off using this same pattern of rib stich. Hope this helps.
