In search of a knitting pattern…?

I am looking for a free knitting pattern for a throw/blanket thats looks like the link below (however preferably the size of a single bed duvet/close to it). Any help would be greatly appreciated

Or alternatively how you would knit the border onto the main blanket section

You don’t really need a pattern. What makes that blanket is the yarn used (a fluffy yarn). Just knit a square the size you want. When You Are ready for the border, pick up stitches all around the outside edges and knit in the round, doing a double increase at each corner like this:

kfb, k1, kfb

It might help to put a marker on either side of the corner stitch. Then the instructions would be:
knit to one stitch before the marker, kfb, sl marker, k1, sl marker, kfb (repeat until border is desired width).

Here are instructions for picking up stitches. Keep in mind that stitches are wider than they are tall. So when you pick up stitches along the sides (as opposed to along the top or bottom edges), you will want to pick up three stitches in a row, skip one, then repeat so that you only pick up 3/4 of the available stitches.

Then bind off.

You will probably be happier doing this in garter stitch to avoid curling. That means in the center part you knit every row (on both the front side and the back side). But on the border, you knit one time all the way around the border, then purl the next time around, then knit, then purl, and so on, alternating knit rounds with purl rounds to create the garter texture.
